A timeless tale of love at first sight, secret vows, violent hatred and fateful misunderstandings that leads to heart-breaking tragedy. Having performed Romeo & Juliet in 2014, 2018 and 2019, Bowler Crab combines the best elements from each tour for this 2026 production with an all new cast. Facilities at the Mermaid Inn, Rye All performances are indoors. Allocated seating in comfy padded seats. A bar with alcoholic, hot and soft drinks will be provided by The Mermaid in the auditorium itself. Toilet facilities are available. Steps lead to the toilets. Mermaid Street is a squeeze. Please park elsewhere in Rye to make your way on foot to The Mermaid, we'd recommend the cattle market carpark near the station. The Mermaid Inn is not fully wheelchair friendly due to the age of the building. The building structure means steps, narrow doorways, narrow corridors and uneven flooring need to be navigated. If you have mobility issues, we recommend exploring some of our other venue options.
