The Rye International Jazz & Blues Festival is delighted to welcome Ray Gelato and The Giants to perform a fabulous afternoon concert at the stunning setting of St Mary's Church, Rye on Monday 31 August at 3.00pm. The Godfather of Swing – Mr Ray Gelato – has been taking his special brand of swing, jazz and R&B music all over the world since 1988. Ray Gelato is regarded as one of the last great classic jazz entertainers, in the tradition of Cab Calloway, Louis Prima and Fats Waller. A gifted singer, saxophonist, songwriter and bandleader, he has performed at festivals, clubs and concert halls from Brazil to New York City. Expect to hear some swinging music as the band run through a selection of truly classic records and dedications as well as Ray's original material, which has deservedly become some of the most requested during his live shows.
