Lucinda Oestreicher's practice explores the rich landscapes of East Sussex. Walking and physically exploring a space is key to Oestreicher's practice. Starting in the natural world, she takes sketches and ideas back to her studio where she begins the painting process. In this workshop, you will be encouraged to use the landscape around Matt Black Barn as your inspiration, jotting down and exploring the forms, tonal values and colours you encounter. This workshop is designed to give you the space and resources to think deeply about the natural environment and how being present in it can offer unique inspiration and insight into the inner workings of the natural world.
