Petworth House and Park

Visit for free for Heritage Open Weekend on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September.

Join us over the Heritage Open Days weekend to explore the extraordinary art collection in the striking state rooms of the Baroque inspired House. Take a stroll in the expansive 'Capability' Brown landscaped Park, where you might spot some of the fallow deer herd. Relax in the Pleasure Garden, the perfect place for a picnic. Discover more about Petworth's history and collection in a guided tour of the house. Tickets allocated on a first come, first served basis. There will also be 10 minute highlight talks throughout the day. See the board by the house entrance for talk and tour times and topics on the day. Visitors will also be able to see our exhibition 'Expressions in Blue: Monumental Porcelain by Felicity Aylieff', which features towering sculptures on display throughout the house and two monolithic obelisks in the ground. We will be open for free for Heritage Open Days on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September 2026.
