The Findon Valley 5K & 10K returns for 2026 Please note, due to the start times of the events you will not be able to run both the 5K and the 10K. Our 5K Option (8.45am start) For our 5K route we start in Storrington Rise Car Park, before heading across Cissbury Fields to the base of Coombe Rise Car Park, before an ascent onto the path heading towards Cissbury Ring. We skirt around the edge of the ring, before descending back to the start again. With an elevation gain of 168m (551ft) this is not a route to sprint. It represents a challenge and you'll certainly know you've had a work out at the end of it! There will be a water point and first aid station at the 4km marker (close to the Nepcote Car Park). Our 10K Option (8.30am start) For our 10K route we also start in Storrington Rise Car Park, and follow the 5K route, before diverting across Nepcote to drive forward towards (but not quite as far as!) Chanctonbury Ring. A descent over the fields - with beautiful views over the Valley - and back again to rejoin the 5K route and finish at Storrington Rise Car Park. With an elevation gain of 253m (830ft) this represents a moderately challenging trail route 10K. You'll have certainly earned your medal at the finish line! There will be a water point and first aid station at the 4km and 9km markers (close to the Nepcote Car Park). First aid trained marshals will be situated throughout both routes The routes themselves will be clearly marked with flags These are both fully off-road routes and appropriate off-road footwear is highly recommended Whilst we are not utilising chip technology for these runs, you WILL receive a time for your run All runners will receive a medal on completion (see designs below) Our Mini Mile (10.00am start (approx)) We are also running a mini-mile for children, free of charge. This is an approximately 1.5km route around the lower fields. Parent/guardians are able to run alongside their children. I hereby: Agree that any participation by me in the Event is solely and entirely at my own risk and (to the extent permitted by law) no person(s) or organisation(s) shall be liable for any accident, harm, injury, loss or damage to property, however so caused, arising out of or in connection with or, suffered during or as a result of, my participation in the Event, provided always that nothing shall exclude liability for death or personal injury caused directly by the negligence of the organiser or its employees; Consent to medical assistance and/or medical care being given to me in the case of illness, injury or an emergency situation, should this occur during the Event, such assistance to be given by the organiser, its employees, contractors or other trained personnel conducting the Event (which may include the use of anaesthetics); Acknowledge and agree that: – running is an endurance sport; – I should only undertake such an activity to a level which reflects my level of fitness; – I am responsible for monitoring my own physical condition prior to and during participation in the Event; Understand the importance, for safety reasons, of obeying the rules, guidelines and instructions given by the Event organiser’s officials, stewards, nominated representatives and other authorised personnel and hereby agree to abide by the same and to behave responsibly at all times during the Event and be mindful of the impact of my actions on others; and Agree that my participation in the Event is for recreational and/or charity fundraising purposes only and I will not participate in the Event for any commercial or business purpose. The Event organiser will have no liability to the Participant for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or other loss of business opportunity.
