My Botanical Heart

Colonnade House

One-offTue 08 SepWed 09 SepThu 10 Sep
Dianna returns to home ground this September, exhibiting at Worthing’s Colonnade House from 8–13 September. Before turning her focus to botanical art, Dianna established a successful career as a professional garden photographer. Her work has appeared in leading horticultural publications including Gardens Illustrated , The English Garden , and Country Living , and is represented internationally through the stock agency GAP Photos. Eight years ago, she began creating more personal work, inspired by vintage botanical illustrations, particularly their dramatic dark backgrounds and exquisite attention to roots, seeds, and delicate botanical details. The work of Pierre-Joseph Redouté was also influential, combining elegant simplicity with remarkable precision. Following years of experimentation, Dianna developed a distinctive style that celebrates the beauty of plants through close observation of texture, colour, and form. Her aim is to encourage viewers to pause, look more carefully, and rediscover flowers that might otherwise go unnoticed. Each image begins with a carefully styled arrangement, refined repeatedly until the composition feels complete. All photographs are created using natural light, allowing the subtle qualities of each subject to emerge with depth and emotion. The work also represents the light in the darkness, of resilience and hope that good things come from dark times, just like flowers emerging from the darkness of winter. ‘This, without doubt, of superb quality. The impact that it had on me was almost breathtaking. The print has an almost 3D look. As if one could pick the flowers from the paper.’ Pauline W, West Sussex, UK Dianna has been represented by Will’s Art Warehouse since 2021 and regularly exhibits at the Affordable Art Fair in Battersea and Hampstead.   www.diannajazwinski.com Instagram: @my_botanical_heart
