The Malcolm Rose Concert BREMF Emerging Artists alumni Nocturnalia return with a programme inspired by the story of Tartini’s extraordinary ‘Devil’s Trill’ Sonata. When the devil visited Tartini in a dream, he played a sonata so sublime and devilishly difficult that Tartini awoke and attempted to transcribe it. The resulting composition is one of his finest, though Tartini still considered it a pale shadow of the music he heard in his sleep. Supported by Continuo Foundation
