The Album Era
Carole King’s Tapestry is one of rock ‘n’ roll’s most magical recordings. In this concert, The Album Era will perform this classic album in its entirety from ‘I Feel The Earth Move’ to ‘Natural Woman’ as well as more epic songs from the Carole King songbook. Released in February 1971, Tapestry was recorded amongst good company in Los Angeles. The album is a masterclass in songwriting from tracks like ‘So Far Away’ and ‘Beautiful’, to the iconic ‘You’ve Got A Friend’. Throughout the sessions, Carole shared the studio with James Taylor and Joni Mitchell (who even appear on the record) while they recorded their iconic albums Mud Slide Slim and Blue! Featuring a seven piece ensemble, The Album Era will perform Tapestry from start to finish as well as a set of even more songs from the Carole King songbook. From the iconic Goffin-King partnership of the 1960s, expect to hear classic songs including “The Locomotion” to “Up On The Roof”, and “Chains” to “Pleasant Valley Sunday”. This isn’t imitation- it’s dedication. The Album Era collective goes beyond tribute act traditions, Each performance revives the sounds of classic albums with authenticity, while delivering the electricity of a true live rock concert. Featuring exceptional musicians from across the UK - from rockers to the classically trained - every Album Era line-up is carefully curated to reproduce these masterpieces with passion and precision. The Album Era is a Jam Soup Music Production.
