Cowdray Apple Day Saturday 10th October | 10:00am–4:00pm Join us this October for a wonderful day celebrating all things apple! Bring the family along for a fun-filled autumn day with plenty to see, taste and do. Enjoy live music, apple-inspired food and drink, family activities and our very own Great Apple Bake Off. Press your own apples: Open to all, this is an opportunity to bring your own apples, or use some of ours, to have a go at chopping, scratting, and juicing. Remember to bring a container so you can walk away with your very own fresh juice! If you are bringing your own fruit, please note there is a limit of 5 litres per customer. Family Fun: Keep the little ones entertained with an apple orchard hunt, apple crafts, cornhole, giant Jenga and apple skittles. Great Apple Bake Off: Fancy yourself a star baker? Please register for your FREE Great Apple Bake Off ticket to let us know you’re interested in taking part and bring along your best apple creation by 2pm! Simply provide your name and the name of your dish when registering. Judging will take place at 2:45pm, with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place! The winner of the Great Apple Bake Off will receive a Cowdray Hamper worth over £100. Food & Drink: Our team will be serving a selection of apple favourites, including Tart Normande, apple doughnuts, apple scones and apple turnovers. You can also create your own apple crumble, choosing from three fruit bases, a crumble topping and three extra toppings, with traditional crumble-making demonstrations taking place throughout the day. The Farm Shop will be offering a special deli-style selection with cheese, charcuterie, crackers, honey and apple chutney, alongside tastings to enjoy. For something more substantial, tuck into freshly made pizzas with an apple-inspired topping and delicious pork belly. Enjoy a selection of drinks from local and independent suppliers, alongside live music throughout the day.
