Ferring Community Cinema will be showing its next film, Michael , on Friday 11th September 2026. This portrayal of Michael Jackson, a complicated man, is incredible viewing. Michael is played by his nephew, Jaafar Jackson, who recreates his onstage singing and dancing with astonishing intuitive flair. Many have reported feeling like they are watching the real Michael Jackson. The film covers the first 30 years of Michael's life, thus avoiding any of the allegations and criminal charges brought against him. It is not intended to prompt scrutiny. It expects you to come for the songs – and it is packed with them. The film will be showing at Ferring Village Hall. Tickets are £6 and available at the Ferring Co-Op, the Premier Stores in South Ferring, and on the door on the night. Ticket price includes tea, coffee or a soft drink, and biscuits. Doors open at 6.30pm for a prompt 7pm start. Ferring Community Cinema is a not-for-profit organisation, with profits donated to Ferring Village Hall and other national charities. 2026 film dates October 9th – Devil Wears Prada 2 November 13th – Song Sung Blue
