The Council House
Join us for the launch of the Maternity and Neonatal Community Forum, a new local partnership lead by Derbyshire Maternity Neonatal Voices and bringing together community members, Maternity Community Champions, local maternity and neonatal services, voluntary organisations, and health professionals. This Forum is for services that are run over the University Hospital of Derby and Burton area (Royal Derby Hospital). The forum has been created to support meaningful co-production, providing a space where communities and services can come together to build understanding, share experiences, explore health inequalities, and identify what matters most to local families. Through open conversations and collaborative working, we aim to turn insight into action and help shape improvements in maternity and neonatal care. At this first event, we will: * Learn more about health inequalities in maternity and neonatal services * Hear about recent community engagement work and key themes emerging from local conversations * Listen to some of the community groups that took part in the engagement * Begin exploring how communities and services can work together to make positive changes Whether you are a parent, family member, community representative, voluntary sector organisation, healthcare professional, or simply interested in improving maternity and neonatal services, we welcome you to join us. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Please let us know any accessibility needs and dietary requirements (these options will be provided at the end of the booking process). Venue will be based on Derby city - but will be confirmed nearer the time.
