Charles Wheal Band all the way from San Fransisco to Rye playing live Saturday 29th August from 3pm Saturday, August 29, 2026 3:00 PM 5:00 PM Charles Wheal & his band are fantastic & I’ve had the pleasure to see them live in San Fransisco. I am delighted that they will be playing live at our brewery as part of The Rye Jazz & Blues Festival 2026 Charles Wheal and his band play a variety of blues and roots music, winning fans since 2006, when he left Mark Hummel's band to focus on his own music. In his live performances and recordings, seasoned professionals deliver the music with passion and focus. Charles will be joined by A Team rhythm section: Matt Radford on the big double bass and Loris Peverani on drums Limited parking on site & additional parking in our overspill car park, Houghton Green Lane (1 minute walk from the brewery) Buses run from Rye town 2.56pm (313 bus) - 3.55pm (312 bus) or a 23 minute walk from the Waterworks Micropub in town after the Cheese Club. Tonio’s Authentic Pizza Napoletana will be serving home made pizza’s from 1.30pm Waterworks Brewery, The Old Dairy, Playden, East Sussex TN31 7UL Please note the Micropub is located in Rye Town, the live music is at the Brewery
