Discover Merriments Gardens in Hurst Green at our special Open Day with complimentary admission from 9:30am to 4:30pm. Set within four acres of beautifully designed gardens, Merriments offers a wonderful mix of colourful borders, meadow areas and tranquil water features. Visitors can explore ornamental arches, seasonal planting displays, a charming Monet-style bridge and gently flowing streams, while enjoying the relaxed atmosphere that makes Merriments a favourite destination for garden lovers and families alike. Throughout the day, visitors can join guided tours led by Head Gardener Dan, who will share insights into the gardens, planting schemes and ongoing developments across the site. Nature enthusiasts can also look out for the bee hives in the meadow and visit the bird hide to spot native wildlife. The Conservatory café will be serving an all-day BBQ, alongside its usual selection of drinks, homemade cakes and refreshments. There will also be plenty of activities and special offers to enjoy, including a free prize draw with the chance to win tea and cake in the café, a Sunday roast for two or an annual garden ticket. Younger visitors can take part in a fun 'Find the Word' hunt, while anyone purchasing a season ticket on the day will receive £5 off. Dogs are welcome, and the paths in the gardens are accessible and wheelchair friendly. No booking is required – simply turn up on the day!
